Student Committee

Jeffrey Graham, President:

Hello world! My name is Jeff  and I am a senior at  Los Osos High School in Rancho Cucamonga, CA. I started the California Chapter of  GTA not only because I love sustainability; I believe it is going to take all of us (teens, adults and YOU) to make our communities green and efficient for generations to come.  In addition to saving the world, I enjoy playing competitive sports, cooking and eating foods from around the world(especially Indian food!), and listening to songs with substance. If you want to make a difference, meet some of the coolest teens, and become a leader, join GTA. We’d love to have you on our team.

Lizeth Cortez, Vice President:

My name is Liz and I am a junior at Chaffey High School in Ontario, California. Teenagers have the power to make a difference and inspire change in others. I envision a strong environmental youth group that can shape the world. I am very active in the educational community, I love music, and I enjoy interacting with students that have a passion for the Earth. I love GTA because it expands the possibilities a teenager has to make a difference in their community. I encourage every teen, if they have not done so, to join the group and TAKE ACTION!

Brenda Delgado, Secretary:

My name is Brenda and I am a senior at San Gorgonio High School in San Bernardino, Califonia. Not too long ago I became a member of Green Team America because I shared a strong passion to make the world a greener place (I still do). In addition to my duties in GTA, I am also one of the leaders of my high school’s environmental club, the Earth Savers, where I also play an active role in promoting eco-friendly behavior. Aside from my interests in the environment, I am the traditional well-rounded teenager who enjoys a peaceful social life as well as a strong academic life. In addition, I encourage students to follow GTA’s example and start making a difference one footprint at a time!

Gabriela Campos, Treasurer:

My name is Gabriela and I am a senior at Fontana High School. I’m very interested in helping others and the environment. I believe Green Team America is doing such a great job at encouraging the youth of our communities to make a difference. It is highly important to remind others that a difference can be made by picking up one bottle or encouraging one friend to recycle. Conservation should be an important part of our lives because this is the only home we have and we need to take care of it. So I strongly encourage each and every person to join the cause and stay green! (:

Jazmine Juarez, Treasurer:

My name is Jazmine and I’m a senior at Fontana High School. Other than the normal teenage things like sports, hanging out with friends, spending time with friends, and of course shopping, I enjoy being involved in my community, being part of the GTA Committee, and anything concerning the green movement. I strive for conservation everywhere and hope to bring a positive impact in our environment not only for my generation, but for future generations to come. Our world has provided us with many luxuries and it’s time for us to give back starting with three simple rules: REDUCE, REUSE, RECYCLE!
